Trish Green

My academic career began in 1999 with a degree in Gender Studies and Social Policy at the University of Hull. As a postgraduate there, I trained in Research Methods and in 2007 gained my doctorate. My PhD thesis focused on women’s experiences of their children’s home-leaving, a monograph of which will be published in 2010. My research interests lie in the relational aspects of life course transitions; ageing and gendered subjectivities and the emotional meanings of time, space and place. I also have a commitment to participatory and inclusive social science research that not only makes an academic contribution, but also circulates its findings in the public arena.
